Here Nor There

Print Work by Fikaris

Here nor There explores the tensions between reality and our online lives, including internet addiction, lucid dreaming and ever-changing definitions of public space. In this exhibition Fikaris presents new work that he printed at Krack during a month long residency, as well as murals, and a selection of recent prints from Australia, Thailand and France.

Michael Fikaris is an Australian artist working with comic art, print making, painting and small press publishing. Since setting up the alternative comic project Silent Army in the early 2000s, he has gone on to work collaboratively with many comic groups in Australia and internationally. He has been self publishing zines and comic books for over 15 years, and has edited and published almost 20 comic artist anthologies. He has held various international residencies and in 2017 he was awarded the Platinum Ledger Award for outstanding service to Australian comics.
