Krack’s Festival Seni Cetak Grafis: Trilogia is a celebration of the ongoing practice and understanding of graphic print art. The distributive, repetitive, and reproductive nature of graphic print art is our entry point to discuss various topics in the dynamics of society and culture.

Printed graphic art has a long history and has often been used as a medium for raising issues as well as a propaganda tool for political purposes. Print media is present everywhere in our daily lives; from a t-shirt image that criticizes the regime; to money as a daily exchange value; to posters, flags, books and so on. The practice and development of Print is closely aligned with the practice and development of our societies. From this perpective, its important to think critically about the role of print in society.

More than just a fun event, this festival is also an effort to help translate the practice of citizen resilience articulated through graphic printing techniques. Graphic printing art will be read and placed as a perspective and method of thinking, rather than just as a medium and a set of technologies. For this reason, it will invite and involve citizen movement groups that consistently voice environmental, educational, socio-political and economic independence issues. Exhibitions, a series of workshops, citizen involvement work to discussions and symposiums will be a series of activities for this festival.
