Promoters have been calling 3D \u2018the future of entertainment\u2019<\/i> for the past 150 years.\u00a0\u00a0 Stereoscopic<\/i> photos were all the rage in the 1850\u2019s, then Kaiserpanorama<\/i> shows around 1900, 3D Viewmasters<\/i> in the 1950\u2019s, badly-acted 3D horror movies in the 70\u2019s, Virtual Reality goggles in the 90\u2019s and today 80 inch home cinema 3D flatscreens. It\u2019s the same old technology; just different packaging.<\/p>\n

And so in the spirit of attention-seeking gimmickry we present Krack3D!:<\/i> the future of print<\/i>. For this exhibition we invited 6 artists to collaborate with Krack<\/i>! to develop a series of printed works exploring the possibilities of 3D. The artists come from a broad range of disciplines, including illustration, painting, video art, tattooing and glam rock. Collectively they represent the skills and interests for which Yogyakarta is famous.<\/p>\n

Does the third dimension make a work any more meaningful or interesting? That\u2019s for you to decide. But one thing which we\u2019re sure about; just seeing visitors walking around our space wearing blue\/red cardboard glasses will make this project worthwhile for us.<\/p>\n

Para promotor telah menyerukan 3D ‘<\/i>masa depan’<\/i> sejak 150 tahun lalu. Foto-foto Stereoscopic<\/i> adalah hiburan populer di tahun 1850-an, ada Kaiserpanorama<\/i> sekitar tahun 1900, 3D <\/i>Viewmaster<\/i> <\/i>di tahun 1950-an, film horor 3D tahun 70-an, Virtual Reality kacamata di 90-an dan hari ini 80 inch\u00a0 flatscreen 3D home cinema. Itu produk yang sama, hanya bunkus yang berbeda.<\/p>\n

Jadi, dalam kesenangan gimmick<\/i> dan mencari perhatian, kami membersembahkan Krack3D!: print masa depan. <\/i>Di dalam <\/i>pameran ini kami mengajak enam seniman untuk berkolaborasi dengan Krack, untuk membuat karya print yang mengeksplor kemungkinan 3D. Para seniman datang dari disiplin yang berbeda, mulai dari illustrator, pembatik, video artis, tattoo artis dan glam rock star. Bersama sama mereka menampilkan kemampuan dan ketertarikan yang menjadikan Yogyakarta terkenal dalam dunia seni.<\/p>\n

Apakah dimensi ketiga membuat karya lebih menarik atau lebih berarti? Hal itu pilihan anda. Tapi satu hal yang kami sudah tahu: untuk melihat kalian semua memakai kacamata 3D dalam galeri kami, itu sudah cukup membuat pameran ini berhasil.<\/p>\n
